Welcome to
Greendale School

Greendale School Kānuka Ruruhau is a contributing primary school catering for students from New Entrants/Year 1 to Year 6. We are located 11 km from Darfield and 50 km west of Christchurch.

Greendale School thrives in a strong and supportive family and community atmosphere. We have a positive school culture and family feel to our small, rural school, with a strong emphasis on building students’ self-esteem and well-being.

The school is extremely well resourced with small student to adult ratios, spacious classrooms, a newly refurbished administration area, new fencing, two adventure playgrounds, a heated pool, and a view of the Malvern Hills that you just have to see to believe.

Our vision of Growing positive relationships and confident learners in a safe and inclusive environment encompasses the Positive Behaviour for Learning Framework that is embedded in our every day interactions and our values based on AWA Aroha/to care (people), Whānaungatanga/to belong (place) and Ako/to learn (practice).

We would love for you to be part of our whānau, let us show you around.
